Applications Open: International Studio & Curatorial Program
The Foundation supports a curator or an artist at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in Brooklyn, New York for a three month long residency.

The International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in Brooklyn, New York announces an open call for a residency for one curator or an artist from India sponsored by The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation. This call is open to Indian citizens, who are 35 years of age or less and have resided continuously in India for at least two years prior to the time of application. The residency will take place from April 1 to June 30, 2020.
The residency includes participation in ISCP, a stipend for accommodation and living expenses in New York City and travel costs. The 2020 residency marks the seventh year for an Inlaks sponsored residency. It will be the sixth for a curatorial residency, or the fourth for an artist residency.
ISCP is a leading nonprofit, residency-based contemporary art institution for emerging to mid-career artists and curators from around the world, including the United States. With more than 35 artists and curators in residence at all times, the program provides residents with the space, time, and support to develop new projects. With additional activities tailored for professional development and public engagement, ISCP serves as an important platform for producing, presenting and contextualizing contemporary art through a diverse range of international perspectives. ISCP welcomes artists and curators from all parts of the world, including many Asian countries. ISCP’s public programs encourage dialogue and integrate residents into the cultural community of New York City. The residency includes 24-hour access to a private and furnished studio space, regular studio visits from Visiting Critics; Field Trips to museums, galleries and other cultural institutions; and participation in ISCP Talks. Residents at ISCP are also invited to take part in ISCP’s Exhibition Program and Participatory Projects.
ISCP is also pleased to note that sixteen artists from ISCP’s group of esteemed alumni represented their countries in the 2019 Venice Biennale.

If your application is successful, there will be a deadline of February 29, 2020, to obtain a visa, in order to participate in this residency. ISCP recommends a B1 / B2 visa, and can assist with a letter of support.
