Applications Open: International Studio & Curatorial Program

We are now accepting applications for the three month long residency at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in Brooklyn, New York.

DEADLINE: DECEMBER 3, 2018

The International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in Brooklyn, New York announces an open call for a residency for one curator or an artist from India sponsored by The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation. This call is open to Indian citizens, who are 35 years of age or less and have resided continuously in India for at least two years prior to the time of application. The residency will take place from March 1 to June 30, 2019.

The residency includes participation in ISCP, a stipend for accommodation and living expenses in New York City and travel costs. The 2019 residency marks the sixth year for an Inlaks sponsored residency. It will be the fifth for a curatorial residency, or the fourth for an artist residency.

ISCP is a leading nonprofit, residency-based contemporary art institution for emerging to mid-career artists and curators from around the world, including the United States. With more than 35 artists and curators in residence at all times, the program provides residents with the space, time, and support to develop new projects. With additional activities tailored for professional development and public engagement, ISCP serves as an important platform for producing, presenting and contextualizing contemporary art through a diverse range of international perspectives. ISCP welcomes artists and curators from all parts of the world, including many Asian countries. ISCP’s public programs encourage dialogue and integrate residents into the cultural community of New York City. The residency includes 24-hour access to a private and furnished studio space, regular studio visits from Visiting Critics; Field Trips to museums, galleries and other cultural institutions; and participation in ISCP Talks. Residents at ISCP are also invited to take part in ISCP’s Exhibition Program and Participatory Projects.

ISCP is also pleased to note that seven artists from ISCP’s group of esteemed alumni represented their countries in the 2017 Venice Biennale.
