Deadline Extended: Residency at Darling Foundry, Montreal
Applications for the residency at the Darling Foundry in Montreal have been extended to April 28th, 2017.
The program offers a residency at the Darling Foundry to professional visual artists who are Indian citizens residing in India and under the age of 35. One artist will be awarded and will receive a grant that contributes toward living expenses, travel fees and production costs.
In 2012, the Darling Foundry established its first India Residency Program to benefit artists and the community in order to confront ideas from far away. Along with Indian partners, What About Art? and Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation, as well as Quebec partners, the Chadha Family Foundation, Tata Steel and corporation Invera, the Darling Foundry is pleased to launch this year its fifth edition. Applications for projects produced by Indian artists are thus open. The selected artist will be immersed into the dynamic Montreal artistic scene for eleven weeks, from October 2nd to December 1st, 2017.
