When Does Curatorial Work End?: A Two Day Workshop at JNU
In conclusion to the Inlaks Curatorial Lab Program, the School of Art and Aesthetics (SAA) of the Jawaharlal Nehru University hosted a two day workshop of insightful dialogue, titled When Does Curatorial Work End? The workshop saw young and veteran practitioners come together to share discerning points of view on the evolution of curatorial practices. Stalwarts such as Geeta Kapur and Sudarshan Shetty discussed the curatorial urgencies surrounding the Kochi Muziris Biennale while RAQS Media Collective shared their experiences with the Shanghai Biennale. Young curators like Gitanjali Dang and Akansha Rastogi brought about interesting perspectives to the discussion, thereby giving us a flavor of the direction in which curatorial practices will develop.
The workshop ended with the release of the publication When Does Curatorial Work End? which comprises a series of essays and interviews by the students of the 2016 Curatorial Lab.
